FOLK/Americana

Two time MCMA Roots Duo/Group of the Year, Two Crows for Comfort, are a touring folk/Americana duo from the prairie wonderland of Manitoba, Canada. Playing well over one hundred shows each year, these troubadours live on the road full-time in an 18 foot camper with their 90 pound rescue dog, Elliot. They’ve become known for not only their powerful lead vocals, intricate harmonies and unique arrangements but also their comedic yet poignant storytelling and off-the-cuff stage banter that has folks smiling long after the night is over.

They've been seen at festivals across Canada, the US, and the UK including the Winnipeg Folk Festival (MB), Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival (TX), Black Bear Americana Festival (CT), and the Blueberry Festival (AK) and have opened for the likes of Bruce Cockburn, Ani DiFranco, David Amram, and Pokey LaFarge. Amidst their relentless touring schedule they have written and recorded three full length albums, the most recent titled 'Next to Me'.

LISTEN

Harmony singing is so key to roots-folk music and Two Crows have nailed that perfectly. What differentiates them within their genre are uniquely arranged original songs that allow their voices to blend and bend around the stories within their often-poignant lyrics. This is acoustic folk music at its best. Cory’s light-hearted, funny, between-song banter made the show even better. A few people in the audience drove more than a hundred miles to come see this duo. Not one of them regretted it.
— Joe McKinstry, Concerts in the Woods (Coyle, WA)
Unlike other acts that do one thing really well, Two Crows for Comfort are the complete package, combining superlative instrumental talent, pitch-perfect harmonies, and endearing stage presence. On a balmy December evening in Florida, their stories about life in sub-zero Manitoba were that much more entertaining, and their original songs clearly came from the heart. This Canadian couple captures the true spirit of Americana music more than most.”
— Mark & Donna Paz Kaufman, hosts "An Evening of Story & Song" at Story & Song Center for Arts & Culture, Amelia Island, FL
Folk music is storytelling, and these two have a rare gift for transporting a listener into the spaces of their songs, whether you’re hearing a studio recording or watching them live. Flawless harmonies dance over thoughtful compositions, with lyrics that connect deeply with their audience. Plus, Erin & Cory’s chemistry, humor, and open-hearted approach to sharing their songs will always keep Two Crows for Comfort on our wish list for house concerts when they’re coming through our region.
— Jenny Inzerillo, Host of High Plains Morning/Music Director at High Plains Public Radio (Amarillo, TX)
Original, engaging, fabulous, and funny Two Crows for Comfort are all that and more! Cory and Erin put on a wonderful house concert. The whole audience was captivated not only by their original music but the meaningful and often times funny stories that inspired their music.
— Elizabeth Hanssard, The She Shack Listening Room (Chama, NM)
